In this role, you will be responsible for verifying freight invoices, ensuring billing accuracy, and maintaining precise records of shipping and receiving activities. Your expertise will support the seamless operation of our warehouse distribution processes and contribute to optimizing overall freight management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and hands-on experience in warehouse operations. Responsibilities Review and audit freight bills and invoices to verify accuracy against shipment details, including weight, dimensions, and delivery terms. Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to reconcile discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly. Maintain detailed records of freight transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies during the auditing process. Assist in managing inventory movements, including load and unload activities, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment. Support warehouse distribution operations by utilizing equipment such as reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers. Prepare reports on freight costs, discrepancies, and audit findings for management review. Contribute to process improvements aimed at enhancing accuracy in freight billing and overall warehouse efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in freight auditing, warehouse management, or logistics operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software. Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and inventory stocking. Ability to operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and freight charges accurately. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes such as load & unload activities and order fulfillment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments including shipping, receiving, and accounting.
