Audit Senior (GOV/NPO) Price Paige & Company - 5.0 Clovis, CA Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $90,000 a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Summary of Responsibilities We are seeking 2 experienced Audit Seniors to join our growing firm. These roles are ideal for professionals with 3+ years of public accounting experience performing increasingly challenging accounting and audit work who enjoy leading engagements, mentoring staff, and continuing to grow professionally. These roles offer the opportunity to lead challenging engagements, work directly with clients and firm leadership, mentor developing staff, and continue growing both technically and professionally. (There are 2 open positions, 1 within the Non-Profit Audit department and 1 within our Government Audit department. By applying to this opening, you are applying to both departments and will be considered equally for both, while taking into consideration any specified preference from your application.) Duties include, but are not limited to: Lead the day-to-day execution of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and related deliverables. Perform and review audit procedures in accordance with applicable professional standards and firm methodology. Assist with engagement planning, including risk assessment, audit program development, budgeting, and scheduling. Prepare, review, and organize workpapers and related audit documentation. Identify accounting, auditing, and financial reporting issues and communicate them clearly to managers and partners. Coordinate engagement timelines, staffing, client requests, and deliverables to help keep engagements moving efficiently. Supervise, train, and develop staff accountants, providing clear direction, timely feedback, and meaningful coaching. Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and communicate professionally to obtain information needed to complete engagements effectively. Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and other engagement-related reports as applicable. Use audit technology and other tools to improve audit quality, efficiency, and the overall client experience. Assist with other assurance-related projects and responsibilities as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the following: 3+ years of public accounting experience, with demonstrated progression in auditing and accounting. Experience with audits, Single Audits under the Uniform Guidance, and Yellow Book engagements. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Active CPA license preferred, or meaningful progress toward CPA licensure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Experience with audit software and general accounting software programs. Strong understanding of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting concepts applicable to department. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and deadlines. Confidence in working directly with clients and leading staff both in the field and remotely. A professional, team-oriented approach and a willingness to mentor developing staff. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Valid California driver's license required. Ability to travel to client sites, including occasional out-of-town engagements. Reliable personal transportation and current automobile insurance meeting California minimum requirements. Position offers a competitive salary of $55,000-$90,000 with benefits.
