  • Position Summary:
  • Are you an expert in Medicare billing and government audits?
Join our team as a Government Recovery Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program and other regulatory requirements. You'll be the go-to person for all government audit activity, coordinating correspondence, preparing audit documentation, and supporting our team through complex government regulatory reviews.
  • What You'll Do:
  • + Serve as the primary point of contact for all government audit activities, including RAC, MAC, TPE, CERT, OIG, QIO, Medicaid, and Medi-Cal audits.
+ Prepare, review, and organize audit information and documentation for government regulatory and enforcement agency audits. + Respond to correspondence from government agencies related to pre- and post-payment audits. + Manage data entry, mail processing, and maintain accurate records for audit submissions and responses. + Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with CMS rules and regulations, privacy regulations, and billing standards. + Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • What You'll Need:

Required:
_ + High school diploma or equivalent experience (grandfathered employees hired prior to 2011 without HS diploma are eligible) + Minimum of 3 years' experience in Medicare billing, follow up, and appeals in an acute care setting + 1-3 years' experience with healthcare regulatory audits and appeals + Demonstrated experience with CMS billing, payment, and reimbursement methodologies + Strong understanding of privacy and security regulations, release of information, and CMS rules + Experience managing complex projects in a healthcare environment + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) _
Preferred:
_ + 5+ years' experience in an acute healthcare setting + 3+ years' experience in healthcare regulatory audits and appeals + Direct experience with RAC, MAC, TPE, CERT, OIG, Medicaid, Medi-Cal, and other regulatory audits + 5+ years' Medicare billing, follow up, and appeals experience + Knowledge of utilization management process, coding, and medical necessity criteria If this sounds like something you are qualified for, click Apply now!
  • Pay Details:
  • $25.
