Job DescriptionJob Description Senior Auditor - Government & Non-Profit Fresno, CA A well-established and highly respected CPA firm in Fresno is seeking a Senior Auditor with experience in governmental and non-profit audits to join its growing team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Meaningful work supporting government and non-profit clients Strong firm reputation with a consistent client base Collaborative, team-oriented environment Clear path for advancement into Supervisor and Manager roles Leadership that values mentorship and professional development What You'll Be Doing Lead audit engagements for governmental and non-profit organizations Perform and oversee fieldwork, testing, and documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) Assist with audits under Uniform Guidance (Single Audits) Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures Supervise and review work of staff auditors Communicate directly with clients and help resolve audit findings What We're Looking For 4-7+ years of public accounting audit experience Experience with government and/or non-profit audits (required) Familiarity with Single Audits / Yellow Book (strongly preferred) CPA or actively pursuing Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines Compensation & Benefits $80K - $110K base + bonus Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Generous PTO and flexible scheduling Ongoing training and CPA support The Ideal Fit Someone who enjoys purpose-driven work , takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to grow within a firm that values both technical excellence and team culture .
