Audit Manager

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic professional with an active California CPA license and 7+ years of public accounting experience, specifically serving nonprofit organizations. This role offers the opportunity to lead engagements from planning through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for staff and clients. Unlike traditional large firms, we cap team hours at reasonable levels and offer a clear partner-track for those ready to lead.

Key responsibilities include:

Engagement Leadership:

Manage and execute audits, reviews, and compilations in accordance with GAAP.

Team Development:

Mentor and supervise senior and staff auditors, providing feedback and performance evaluations.

Strategic Advisory:

Identify opportunities for advisory services and improve client internal controls.

Client Relations:

Maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and business owners.

Operations:

Manage engagement budgets and quality control; lead the transition to cloud-based binder software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting and 7+ years of public accounting experience (including 2+ years in a supervisory role). Substantial knowledge of US GAAP. Proficiency in Excel, Word, QuickBooks Online, and attestation binder software. Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills. #INDW3
