Job Description

Audit Associate — Los Angeles, CA Full-time • Public Accounting We're looking for a motivated Audit Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join our growing public accounting practice in Los Angeles. You'll work across a diverse client portfolio, develop your technical skills quickly, and be supported every step of the way on your path to CPA and beyond. Key functions Execute audit procedures across financial statement engagements including risk assessment, testing of controls, and substantive procedures Prepare and document workpapers in accordance with GAAS, GAAP, and firm quality standards Perform analytical procedures and variance analysis to identify unusual trends or discrepancies Assist in auditing key financial statement areas including cash, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities Support the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and management letters Communicate audit findings and client requests clearly with senior staff and client personnel Assist with compilation and review engagements as needed Stay current on accounting standards and contribute to team learning through research on technical issues Qualifications 1-3 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; 150 credit hours preferred CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification strongly preferred Solid understanding of GAAS, GAAP, and audit methodology Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, ProSystem fx Engagement, or similar platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable working directly with clients To be considered, please apply with a resume.
