Job Description

Audit Manager — Los Angeles, CA Full-time • Public Accounting We're looking for an accomplished Audit Manager to lead engagements, grow client relationships, and develop the next generation of audit professionals at our Los Angeles practice. You'll operate with significant autonomy, contribute to practice growth, and have a clear line of sight to Senior Manager and beyond. Key functions Manage a portfolio of audit, review, and attest engagements across diverse industries from planning through issuance Serve as the primary client relationship owner — delivering strategic insights, anticipating needs, and expanding service offerings Direct engagement teams of supervisors, seniors, and associates — overseeing workflow, quality, and professional development Review and approve financial statements, workpapers, and reports for technical accuracy and compliance with GAAP and GAAS Own engagement economics: scoping, budgeting, billing, realization, and profitability monitoring Lead technical accounting research on complex issues including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and more Partner with partners on business development — contributing to proposals, client pitches, and referral network cultivation Champion staff growth through coaching, performance reviews, and training program participation Monitor and implement changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements across the practice Qualifications 7+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's preferred Active CPA license required Deep technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and applicable reporting frameworks (PCAOB experience a plus) Proven track record managing client relationships and delivering high-quality engagements Demonstrated experience leading and developing multi-level audit teams Strong project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines Business development instincts with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities Proficiency in CaseWare, ProSystem fx Engagement, or similar audit platforms To be considered, please apply with a resume.
