Audit Partner — Los Angeles, CA Full-time • Public Accounting • Partner-Track / Lateral We are selectively seeking an Audit Partner to join our Los Angeles practice. This is a rare opportunity for an established audit leader with a portable book of business to step into true ownership — setting the vision for our audit practice, leading a world-class team, and making a lasting impact in one of the country's most dynamic markets. Key functions Lead and grow a significant book of business — serving as the trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, boards, and audit committees across industries Set the technical and strategic direction of the audit practice — establishing standards, driving quality, and ensuring the highest level of client delivery Provide authoritative guidance on the most complex accounting and auditing matters including business combinations, going concern, PCAOB compliance, and emerging standards Drive firm growth through aggressive business development — originating new relationships, pursuing strategic referral partnerships, and elevating the firm's profile in the LA market Serve as a firm-wide leader — mentoring Directors, Managers, and staff, and championing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and professional development Participate in firm governance, strategic planning, and key operational decisions as a member of firm leadership Identify and pursue merger, acquisition, and strategic alliance opportunities that strengthen the firm's competitive position Represent the firm at the highest levels — industry conferences, regulatory bodies, media, and civic leadership Oversee practice-wide risk management, independence compliance, and quality control programs Qualifications 15+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting, with demonstrated Partner or Director-level tenure Portable book of business required — strong preference for candidates with established Los Angeles area client relationships Active CPA license required Nationally recognized technical expertise in audit and assurance across one or more complex industries Proven ability to originate, expand, and retain high-value client relationships at the executive and board level Visionary leadership with a track record of building and inspiring high-performing audit teams at scale Experience with SEC registrants, PCAOB-registered audits, or governmental/nonprofit auditing strongly preferred Strong presence in the Los Angeles professional, business, and civic communities Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive and vision to grow a practice To be considered, please apply with a resume.
