Job Description
Audit Senior — Los Angeles, CA Full-time • Public Accounting We're hiring an experienced Audit Senior to take a hands-on leadership role within our Los Angeles public accounting practice. You'll run audit engagements from fieldwork through completion, mentor junior staff, and serve as a key point of contact for clients — with a clear path to Supervisor and Manager. Key functions Lead day-to-day execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements across a diverse client portfolio Plan and coordinate audit fieldwork — developing risk assessments, audit programs, and testing strategies Review workpapers prepared by associates, providing timely, constructive feedback to ensure quality and completeness Perform and review testing of internal controls, substantive procedures, and analytical reviews across all significant financial statement areas Draft financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management letters in accordance with GAAP and applicable reporting frameworks Serve as primary day-to-day client contact — managing information requests, resolving open items, and maintaining strong relationships Research emerging accounting standards and complex technical issues; communicate findings clearly to managers and clients Supervise and mentor Audit Associates, supporting their development and CPA exam progress Assist managers in monitoring engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables Qualifications 3-5 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; 150 credit hours preferred CPA license required or near completion Strong technical knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, and audit methodology Experience leading audit fieldwork and reviewing associate workpapers Familiarity with audit software such as CaseWare, ProSystem fx Engagement, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills Experience across multiple industries a plus (real estate, manufacturing, nonprofit, financial services, etc.) To be considered, please apply with a resume.
