Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under close supervision of the Supervising Property Appraiser (SPA) in the Unitary Valuation & Auditing Unit of the SAPD, the Tax Auditor (TA) performs the least difficult tax audits, reviews, and examinations of businesses (taxpayers) accounting books, records, financial statements, and business property filings (tax returns) to calculate and allocate the amount of tax legally due in accordance with California's Revenue and Taxation (RTC) Laws, rules, annotations, audit standards, audit regulations, policies, and procedures.
