Job Description
Our client , a reputable public accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to oversee audit engagements, supervise staff, and serve as a key point of contact for clients. This opportunity offers a mix of technical accounting, engagement leadership, and relationship management within a collaborative firm culture. Key Responsibilities Independently plan, manage, and oversee all phases of audit engagements to ensure quality and timeliness Supervise, review, and provide guidance to senior and staff accountants throughout the engagement lifecycle Review audit reports, financial statements, and related deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance Coordinate engagement timelines, staffing needs, and workflow to maintain deadlines and firm standards Serve as a primary client contact, developing productive and professional relationships with client management Apply advanced accounting and auditing knowledge, including GAAP, to resolve complex technical issues Conduct audit and accounting research using firm‑approved tools, standards, and authoritative guidance Utilize firm technology and audit platforms effectively to manage documentation and workflows Participate in practice growth efforts and contribute to multiple concurrent engagements Maintain adherence to firm policies, procedures, and professional standards Communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations clearly to senior leaders and clients Interact professionally with external parties including clients, bankers, and regulatory agencies Qualifications Minimum of seven years of progressive audit experience within public accounting (or equivalent experience) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam required Strong technical accounting background, including advanced knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards Experience supervising and mentoring audit teams Proficiency with audit and accounting technology, including audit software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, UltraTax, ProSystem Engagement, and related professional platforms (Thomson Reuters experience preferred) Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound professional judgment Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to present conclusions clearly and concisely Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and capable of prioritizing effectively Ability to work independently while collaborating with partners, managers, staff, and clients The SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
