Assurance Staff

SHR Talent is partnering with a long standing regional CPA Firm based in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Gainesville, FL in its search for a skilled and detail-oriented Assurance Staff to assist in leading audits and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. The Assurance Staff is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking to advance their career within a collaborative, client-focused public accounting environment. As the Assurance Staff, you will work closely with Assurance Seniors, Managers, and Partners to deliver high-quality audit and assurance services across a diverse client base, including businesses in industries such as healthcare, real estate, non-profit, and professional services. The ideal candidate for the Assurance Staff role will possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to professional excellence, and will be motivated and passionate about providing clients with accurate financial insights while adhering to professional accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, execution, and completion of audit and assurance engagements Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and account reconciliations Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for process improvement Prepare clear and concise audit documentation in compliance with firm and regulatory standards Collaborate with team members to resolve audit issues and ensure timely completion of assignments Communicate findings and recommendations effectively with clients and senior team members Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and other relevant accounting and auditing standards Support firm initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) eligibility or active pursuit of CPA license, strongly preferred 0 - 2 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, or related field Emphasis on experience Assurance Staff with 2 years of experience that can work through 1 - 2 busy seasons, and then step into an Assurance Senior position Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting and audit software #IND123
