Full Job Description Position Description:
Quality Inspector Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and auditing products manufactured by the production team to ensure compliance with established quality standards and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications, and effective communication skills to collaborate with production teams in identifying and resolving quality issues. Primary Responsibilities Conduct inspections and audits of products at various stages of the manufacturing process, comparing results against approved work instructions and specifications. Accurately record and enter inspection data into company databases. Communicate quality concerns, defects, and corrective action recommendations to production leads and supervisors. Support Production and Quality Engineers in maintaining quality records, documentation, and reporting requirements. Assist production personnel with product identification, traceability, training, and communication of quality standards and requirements. Perform incoming inspections of components and materials received by the stockroom, including dimensional, electrical, and visual/color verification. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify, document, and communicate product defects. Train and mentor new quality auditors on inspection procedures, auditing techniques, and quality standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient with computers and capable of accurately entering and maintaining inspection data. Demonstrated ability to identify defects, communicate findings effectively, and work collaboratively with multiple teams to implement corrective actions. Ability to interpret work instructions and visual references to verify products are assembled and manufactured according to specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and quality control methodologies. Minimum of one year of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Access. Previous experience as a Quality Auditor or in a related quality assurance role. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and perform additional duties as assigned, including receiving field-returned devices, organizing materials, breaking down packaging, and maintaining an orderly work area.
