Why our Associate Premium Auditor is
Important:
The Associate Premium Auditor supports the accurate development of insurance premiums by reviewing policyholders financial records and audit documentation. This role assists with small or less complex audits, ensures compliance with applicable insurance rules and guidelines, and performs essential inside-auditor functions, including audit correspondence, mail handling, and maintenance of digital audit files.

Essential DutiesReview policyholders accounting, payroll, and financial records to validate auditable exposures and ensure accurate calculation of earned premium for small or straightforward audits.

Apply internal processes and procedures, NCCI manual rules, SCOPES manual, and PAAS guidelines to ensure audit results comply with insurance standards and regulatory requirements.

Prepare audit work papers, documentation, and written correspondence to support audit findings and conclusions.

Communicate audit results through formal reports and collaborate with internal stakeholdersincluding Premium Audit Management, underwriting, agents, and audit processorsregarding audit-related issues or changes.

Perform inside-auditor responsibilities, including handling audit correspondence, managing incoming and outgoing department mail, and maintaining accurate digital audit files within policy administration and document management systems.

Manage assigned workload efficiently, meet deadlines, and refer unusual or questionable audit information to the appropriate supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

RequirementsBachelors degree or comparable experience in finance, accounting, insurance, or a related field (preferred).General knowledge of insurance and/or accounting principles (preferred).Ability and commitment to successfully complete APA 91 and 92 within a designated timeframe during the first year of employment.

Proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete work accurately and timely.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
