DOTD Auditor Supervisor The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is seeking an experienced Auditor Supervisor to serve as the Post-Contract Audit Supervisor within the Audit and Quality Control Section of the Office of Management and Finance. This position plays a critical role in supporting DOTD's audit operations by supervising post-contract audit activities related to professional services contracts, consultant contracts, utilities, railroad agreements, Utility Relocation Assistance Funding Requests, and other departmental reviews. The selected candidate will help ensure that audit work is completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, contract provisions, DOTD policies, and audit standards. This position will supervise lower-level audit staff, assign and review audit work, provide technical guidance, ensure audit workflow and permanent files are maintained, and assist with the electronic archiving of departmental working files and reports. The position will also conduct audits and internal departmental reviews requested by management, program administrators, FHWA, and other stakeholders. This role is ideal for an audit professional who is detail-oriented, comfortable leading staff, and experienced in reviewing audit reports, workpapers, financial records, and compliance-related documentation. The selected candidate should be able to provide guidance to audit staff, evaluate findings, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and support the overall mission of DOTD's Audit and Quality Control Section. Please visit our DOTD Career Center for more information about our agency: https://dotd.la.gov/about/office-of-management-and-finance/human-resources/career-center/ Six years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A bachelor's degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation plus three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation plus one year of experience in accounting or auditing.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Supervises post-contract audit activities related to professional services contracts, consultant contracts, utilities, railroad agreements, Utility Relocation Assistance Funding Requests, and other departmental reviews. Assigns, plans, manages, and reviews the work of lower-level audit staff to ensure audit assignments are completed accurately and timely. Reviews audit reports and workpapers to ensure audit plans are fulfilled, findings are properly documented, and audit procedures are complete. Provides guidance and technical assistance to audit staff regarding audit assignments, workpapers, findings, and reporting requirements. Conducts audits and internal departmental reviews requested by management, program administrators, FHWA, or other stakeholders. Maintains audit workflow and permanent files and assists with the electronic archiving of departmental working files and reports. Research files, records, and historical documentation related to entities being audited. Implement policies, procedures, and standards to support consistent and orderly audit operations. Participates in meetings with district and section personnel as needed and performs other duties as assigned, including emergency and disaster support activities. Position-Specific Details:
