Job Description

Summit Plastic Molding is a plastic injection molding company, we have been in business for over 40 years and are growing in the automotive industry. We are seeking a full time Final Auditor for 1st shift in a clean and safe work environment. 1st Shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Direct Hire Full-time; Monday thru Friday Employee benefits offered after 90 days Competitive pay Paid bi-weekly (Every other Friday) Opportunities for advancement SUMMARY Ensure that quality (defect free) parts are being shipped to the customer Ensure customer required packaging is correct. Including quantities, labels, and totes/boxes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Online Final Audit Inspection
  • Per Containment list Instruction. Containment Inspection
  • Per customer concerns or rejections. This would require 100% certification per customer requirement (as necessary). Internal containment
  • 100% inspection based off an internal concern or operator concern.
Document findings and inform Manager of excessive findings Verification of correct labels, packaging, and quantities. Promote and involved with continuous improvement, including, but not limited to Kaizens and Jidoka. Participate in CAR's (8D's, 5 Why's, ect.) when applicable. Understand quality management system and IATF requirements Assist in Gage R and R, when applicable. Assist in generating defect reduction activities Perform LPA's Assist Quality Inspectors as needed (Back up for Inspectors) Assist in Training operators to Work Instruction/Common Defect sheets Create labels and verify labels for production
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure product quality through fulfillment of quality standards Identify and report quality problems Escalation notification for high scrap, abnormal scrap, and /or additional training support for any production personnel. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to operators Work to improve systems, performance, and identifies skills, training and capabilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of Inspections, Quality systems, and IATF. At least one year experience in Quality. Minimum two years in a Plastics Manufacturing Environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of Inspections, Quality systems, and IATF. Must have knowledge of potential plastic defects Working in a fast-paced environment, standing, bending, lifting 40 pounds.
