Job Description

Automotive Warranty Auditor - Minneapolis Region (Field Support) Automotive Warranty Auditor to support dealership warranty audits across the Minneapolis, MN / Minnesota regional market . This is a regional field-based role focused strictly on automotive warranty auditing . The auditor will travel to dealership locations within the assigned region to review warranty claim submissions, repair order documentation, warranty policy compliance, and related dealer processes. Most travel is expected to be within a reasonable driving distance of the Minneapolis area. Occasional overnight travel may be required based on dealership location and audit schedule. A company vehicle is provided and business travel expenses are covered. This role is best suited for someone with direct experience in dealer warranty audits, warranty claims review, repair order documentation, OEM warranty policies, chargebacks, and dealership fixed operations compliance . What You Will Do Conduct on-site warranty audits at automotive dealerships within the assigned regional territory Review dealer warranty claim submissions and repair order documentation for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance Validate warranty repairs against OEM warranty policies, procedures, and supporting documentation requirements Identify non-compliant warranty claim activity and initiate chargebacks when appropriate Prepare audit reports, notification letters, findings summaries, and supporting documentation Communicate audit findings professionally to dealership personnel and internal stakeholders Analyze warranty claim patterns, KPIs, and recurring compliance issues Conduct root cause analysis on repeat warranty violations Recommend corrective actions to improve dealership warranty compliance Provide guidance and support to dealership and internal teams on warranty policy and audit expectations Maintain accurate audit records in accordance with documentation and retention requirements Typical Work Model This is a field-based regional role with no requirement to report to a corporate office.
A typical week may include:
Travel to a dealership within the assigned region Conduct on-site warranty audit work at the dealership Complete administrative follow-up from home, including expense reports, audit closure activities, and preparation for the next audit Occasional overnight travel when dealership locations are farther from home Travel Details Regional travel focused on the Minneapolis / Minnesota market Most travel is expected to be by car within a few hours of the candidate's home Occasional overnight travel may be required Company vehicle provided Required Experience Direct automotive warranty audit experience is required Experience reviewing dealer warranty claims, repair orders, service documentation, and warranty policy compliance Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations, service department processes, warranty repair procedures, and the franchised dealership model Ability to identify documentation gaps, non-compliant claim activity, and recurring audit findings Strong analytical, documentation, and detail-orientation skills Ability to communicate professionally with dealership management, service teams, regional operations, and corporate stakeholders Comfortable working independently in a field-based role Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365 Bachelor's degree required
Pay:
$33.50 - $45.35 per hour
