The Quality Auditor position is assigned to the Hamlet, NC plant reporting to the Quality Manager for American Woodmark Corporation. This position will work Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with occasional overtime on Fridays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors, inspects, and proposes measures to correct or improve the company's final products and processes in order to meet the established quality standardsEnsures the product quality by evaluating the product based on applicable specifications and/or Customer requirements (conduct product and process audits and report the results).Identifies and documents nonconformances, conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective action(s) to prevent recurrence.

Recommends, implements, and directs others to modify operational methods and practices to enhance department effectiveness.

Provides support for the execution and maintenance of the Quality System processes in the respective departments.

Reduces risk and loss (through regular audits, rework, and handling of nonconformances).Assists management with coordinating training to procedure revisions.

Monitors the implementation of procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong critical reasoning, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).General working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Strong attention to detail.

Previous experience in a Quality role is a plusFamiliarity with Root Cause Analysis is a plusDrawing interpretation is a plusQuality certifications are a plus
