Job Description
Position Summary The DHDC Auditor is responsible for conducting detailed residential energy audits in compliance with DHDC program guidelines and company standards. This role ensures accurate data collection, identifies energy efficiency opportunities, and supports the successful implementation of weatherization and energy conservation measures. The Auditor plays a critical role in delivering high-quality assessments that drive customer satisfaction and program compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive residential energy audits in accordance with DHDC program requirements Conduct on-site inspections including home performance testing (blower door, combustion safety, duct leakage, etc.) Accurately collect, document, and input all required data into company systems and audit software Identify energy-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate weatherization and HVAC improvements Ensure all audits meet quality control standards and pass program compliance reviews Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain audit findings, recommendations, and next steps Collaborate with installation teams, QC specialists, and program managers to ensure proper project execution Review and verify scope of work to ensure accuracy prior to installation Maintain detailed and organized records of all audits conducted Stay up to date with DHDC program guidelines, building science practices, and company procedures Travel to job sites as required based on operational needs
Qualifications Required:
BPI Energy Analyst Certification (Building Performance Institute) Valid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPreferred:
Prior experience in residential energy auditing, weatherization, or home performance Knowledge of building science principles and energy efficiency programs Experience with audit software and field data collection tools Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Comfortable working in various home environments, including attics and crawl spaces Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent travel to residential job sites Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Exposure to varying temperatures and environmental conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunities for performance-based incentives (if applicable) Company-provided equipment and tools (as applicable) Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidaysPay:
