If you are looking to:
Lead and manage audit engagements for non-profit, private entity, construction, and government clients, including planning, execution, reporting, and review. Design and perform tests to assess the effectiveness of internal controls. Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and management letter comments. Collaborate with clients to understand their operations and address audit concerns. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies. Manage audit budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of engagements. Oversee audit documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Develop audit plans, assign tasks, and oversee execution of financial and compliance audits. Stay up to date on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes. Drive business development by preparing proposals and presenting to prospective clients. Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff, fostering professional growth. Participate in continuous learning and professional development. Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment. Uphold Haga Kommer's values, policies, and best practices. This may not be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities as additional tasks may be required based on the needs of the company.
If you have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 7-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit. Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards. Proven experience in leading and managing audit teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey audit findings. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools; experience with Thomson Reuters Engagement Manager and Single Audits (Uniform Guidance) is preferred.
