JOB PURPOSE
The QMS Auditor is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and compliance of the organization's Quality Management Systems (QMS) across multiple business units and manufacturing sites. This role supports organizational quality and compliance objectives by identifying risks, monitoring corrective actions, and promoting consistency in quality standards and audit practices.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Internal Audit Execution & Compliance Evaluation (40%) Conduct internal audits across business units and manufacturing sites to evaluate compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. 2. QMS Effectiveness & Risk Assessment (25%) Evaluate the effectiveness of the Quality Management System by identifying risks, trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across the organization. 3. Corrective Action Monitoring & Verification (20%) Review and monitor corrective actions to ensure nonconformances are effectively addressed and sustained over time. 4. Audit Reporting & Communication (10%) Prepare and communicate audit findings, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership and relevant stakeholders. 5. Quality Standards & Organizational Support (5%) Support organizational quality and compliance initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in external audit activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 2-5 years of directly related quality auditing experience in a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, quality systems, or internal auditing environments
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and/or
IATF16949

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including travel to manufacturing facilities in Mexico
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred

- Working knowledge of quality management systems and audit principles
- General knowledge of NADCAP and Hitchiner's customer-specific quality requirements
- Ability to evaluate processes, identify risks, and assess compliance

- Ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Combination of office and manufacturing environments
- Prolonged periods of computer use, standing, and walking during audit activities
- May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing areas
- Frequent interaction with employees across multiple business units and locations
