Job Description

Stake Center Locating is looking to hire an Auditor in Las Vegas, NV. An Auditor is responsible for evaluating the accuracy, quality, and compliance of utility locating services performed by field technicians. This role ensures adherence to company standards, client requirements, and state regulations while promoting safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field audits of completed utility locates to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper marking of underground utilities. Evaluate compliance with company policies, client specifications, and state one-call laws (e.g., 811 regulations). Inspect documentation, including tickets, and photos, for accuracy and completeness. Identify deficiencies, errors, or safety concerns and document findings in detailed audit reports. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to field technicians to improve performance and quality. Track audit results and trends to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with Area Managers, Trainers and Regional Operations Managers to address performance gaps. Perform follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety standards in the field. Maintain professionalism when interacting with technicians, clients, and the public.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred. 2+ years of experience in utility locating or related field. Strong knowledge of underground utility locating methods, equipment, and industry standards. Familiarity with state and local regulations governing utility locating (e.g., One Call/811 laws). Ability to read and interpret maps, prints, and utility records. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with mobile data collection tools and reporting software. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
