THE JOB:
At MGM Resorts, we create world-class experiences that entertain, inspire, and elevate every moment. On the Financial/Operational (FinOps) internal audit team, you'll play a key role in protecting the integrity of our business by assessing compliance, financial accuracy, and operational effectiveness across many of MGM Resorts' diverse business units. This role offers hands-on exposure to MGM Resort's corporate and property-level processes, from accounting to operational controls while developing your expertise in risk assessment, internal controls, and the ability to efficiently and effectively design and execute testing methods for broad financial and operational audit concepts. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with strong critical thinking skills who can collaborate with a variety of business stakeholders. THE DAY-TO-DAY
Assists managing audit staff and, in the planning, directing, and monitoring of internal audit operations, including assisting in interviewing, training, and evaluating staff; taking corrective actions to address performance problems. Supervises the audit staff during the review audit process through performing 2nd level review of the audits, reviewing documents, and reviewing audit memos. Supervises the audit staff in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations. Oversees the staff and senior communicating the results of audits via written reports and oral presentations to management. Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co‐workers. Represents internal audit on organizational project teams, at management meetings. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required 3+ Years of prior relevant full‐time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation, including two (2) years of supervisory or project management experience required THE PERKS & BENEFITS
