White Plains, NY Project Overview This role will conduct internal audit activities within the Business and IT domains to help execute IA's Annual Audit plan and related activities. Job Functions & Responsibilities Conduct internal audit activities, including providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations. Evaluate key risks and internal controls, develop and/or review audit programs/risk & control matrices, benchmark financial and operational processes and controls, and participate in annual audit planning activities. Develop and execute data analysis routines and visualize and interpret the results. Perform testing procedures, such as detailed tests of controls including sampling/confidence levels and analytical procedures, to address risks identified. Support the drafting of internal audit reports and identify/document audit observations, root causes, risk/exposure, and recommendations for improvement. Create high quality deliverables, document audit work performed and results by preparing work papers, narratives, and flow charts for audit areas in scope. Participate in client discussions and meetings, and identify client concerns. Remain current on industry standards and business trends. Skills Thorough familiarity with Information Systems auditing concepts and techniques. Knowledge of COBIT, NIST, ITIL, Center for Internet Security (CIS)COSO, IIA Standards, GAAP, FERC, FASB, and/or basic understanding of IT general controls. Ability to plan, organize, manage time and deadlines, and execute assignments. Ability to acquire, analyze and interpret large volumes of data to identify potential audit observations and develop practical recommendations. Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree. 3 - 5 of years audit, Information Systems Technology audit, or related experience preferred. Ampcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
