Job Description

NDT Auditor and Weld Integrity Inspector GTC Manufacturing - 4.0 Cincinnati, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time $50,000 - $140,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Chemical handling safety procedures Chemical handling Manufacturing facility American Welding Society (AWS) standards Full Job Description Are you the inspector who sees what others miss? If you're energized by high standards and real ownership, read on. At GTC, Ownership For All grants eligible full-time employees an ownership stake from day one — so protecting quality protects your own success. Three big questions Can you move confidently across
PT, MT, RT
(X-ray), UT, and VT — choosing the right method and catching subtle signals early? Do you turn specs and drawings into decisive inspections, clear reports, and actionable feedback that reduces variability? Will you lead by example — from instrument and equipment calibration to internal audits — so teams can build right the first time? What success looks like First-run/first-article inspections executed precisely; dimensional checks (length, height, distance, angles) completed with the right tools. Traveler quantities match actual counts; previous-operation signoffs verified; no handling damage escapes detection. Variable data captured on "as-built" drawings and inspection reports; results communicated with clarity to coworkers, supervisors, and customers. Processes monitored and stabilized; early indicators of irregularities surfaced before defects occur. Welder certifications and weld procedure qualification testing monitored for strict WPS adherence. Lead internal audits delivered on time to the GTC Quality Manual, ISO, and customer requirements. Work standards consistently met or improved; you proactively seek additional work to keep productivity high. What you bring High school diploma. Classroom training and required experience hours to qualify in at least two NDT disciplines; coursework aligned with your certification level. SPC data collection/evaluation training. Safety training in chemical handling and radiography. 3+ years as a certified NDT Technician in two or more methods, plus 3+ years working in or around a welding facility. Nationally recognized competency levels (e.g., ASNT, AWS) in at least two areas. Track record of solving problems and establishing effective action plans. Annual eye exams meeting Jaeger 1 at 12" with corrective lenses and the Ishihara Color Blindness Test.
