Job Description

Experienced Financial Statement Auditor We are a growing small-to-mid-sized public accounting firm seeking an experienced Financial Statement Auditor to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, manage audit engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. Minimum of 5 years of experience performing external financial statement audits. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards. Experience with governmental and not-for-profit audits required. Experience with construction industry audits is a plus. CPA license preferred but not required for highly qualified candidates. Required Skills and Experience Comprehensive understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, business cycles, and financial reporting. Knowledge of various business entity structures and formations. Ability to plan, perform, and complete audit engagements with minimal supervision. Experience supervising, training, and reviewing the work of staff members. Strong client relationship and communication skills. Ability to identify issues, provide recommendations, and communicate findings effectively to management and governing boards. Responsibilities Lead and perform financial statement audits from planning through issuance. Review financial statements and related disclosures for accuracy and compliance. Manage multiple audit engagements and deadlines simultaneously. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout engagements. Assist with client development activities, including meeting with prospective clients. Provide technical guidance and support to team members. Participate in firm operations by answering client inquiries, assisting staff, and contributing to practice development. Maintain a high level of professionalism and client service. Work Environment This position requires regular in-office presence to meet with prospective and existing clients, collaborate with team members, provide mentorship, and assist with firm operations. Limited travel may be required based on client needs. Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

$75,727.16 - $91,198.29 per year
