Job Description

JOB Are you looking for an opportunity to learn how government funds are used and to help support fairness and accuracy? The Department of the Auditor General (DAG) is looking for motivated self-starting individuals like you to join our team of fiscal watchdogs. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As an Auditor 1 within the Bureau of County Audits, Liquid Fuels Division, you will be supporting the review of government agencies and other organizations that receive state funds to ensure they follow laws, regulations, and auditing standards. As an Auditor 1, you will perform the following duties:
Apply Standards:
Learn and use laws, regulations, guidelines, and auditing standards in daily work
Analyze Records:
Locate, review, and evaluate documents, data, and other information
Manage Data:
Create and access audit work papers, findings, and reports using computer systems
Evaluate Programs:
Study accounts, controls, and records to assess compliance and performance
Prepare Reports:
Complete administrative and audit reports within required timeframes
Support Audits:
Assist with tasks at audit sites, including handling materials and working with audit teams
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Home Headquartered:
This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Routine travel to auditee sites across Pennsylvania is required.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).
