Looking to immediately add a Manager or Senior Manager to our audit department. A CPA is required. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with 7+ years of public accounting experience, specifically serving non-profit organizations. You will have the opportunity to lead engagements from planning through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for staff and clients. Unlike traditional large firms, we retain only those clients who fit our model of value-added expert services in the nonprofit space. This allows us to cap team hours at reasonable amounts and offer a clear partner-track for those ready to lead.
Key responsibilities:
Engagement Leadership :
Manage and execute audits, reviews, and compilations in accordance with GAAP.Team Development :
Mentor, train, and supervise senior and staff auditors, providing real-time feedback and annual performance evaluations.Strategic Advisory :
Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory services and improve client internal controls.Client Relations :
Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and business owners.Operations :
Manage engagement budgets, billing, and quality control standards. Research and lead transition to cloud-based binder software, in conjunction with the firm's technology leadership team.Qualifications:
License:
Active California CPA license required.Experience:
7+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.Technical Skills:
o Be able to demonstrate substantial working knowledge of US GAAP. o Possess significant experience working in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe, QuickBooks Online, attestation binder software. o Strong analytical abilities. o Strong written and verbal skills o Strong work ethic demonstrated by past work experience o Strong time management skills o The ability to work both independently and as part of a teamBenefits:
