Audit Manager

  • 125k base payAbout the OpportunityA well-established public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Manager with strong experience in State and Local Government audits.
The firm serves a diverse group of clients including government entities, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and financial institutions. This position offers opportunities for leadership development, direct client interaction, and continued professional growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage audit engagements with a primary focus on State and Local Government audits, including municipalities, state agencies, and special districts.

Oversee planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Build and maintain relationships with client management and governing bodies.

Facilitate and document important client communications and keep senior leadership informed on engagement progress.

Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

Provide real-time training, guidance, and performance feedback to audit staff and seniors.

Support the professional development of team members.

Identify opportunities to expand audit and advisory services based on client needs.

What You BringBachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Active CPA license.

At least four years of experience in public accounting.

Strong experience with financial statement preparation and governmental audit requirements.

Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high-quality work.

Strong communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
