Job DescriptionJob Description Audit Manager - East Texas/West Louisiana Hybrid-Remote Flexibility | Base Comp to $160K Average Busy Season under 50 Hours | Clear Path To Partnership This is not a plug-and-play manager role buried under layers of review and red tape. Our client, a well-respected CPA firm in East Texas, is looking for an Audit Manager who wants real ownership. You will lead audit engagements with autonomy, guide a strong team, and partner directly with clients who value insight and relationship, not just compliance. If you enjoy owning the room, mentoring people, and being trusted to make decisions, this role was built with you in mind. What You Will Do Lead full-cycle audit engagements across a diverse client base Coach, mentor, and develop seniors and staff with clear growth pathways for them and for you Set and uphold high standards in planning, execution, and final deliverables Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships Review complex workpapers and provide insight, not just edits Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and add value beyond the audit by providing consulting services around buy-sell transactions, M&A activities, etc. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong audit focus Proven supervisory or management experience Active CPA license Ability to balance leadership, client communication, and technical excellence A present, engaged leader who enjoys developing people, not managing from behind the curtain Why This Role Stands Out Direct interaction with firm leadership and meaningful input into client strategy Clear path toward Senior Manager and Partnership role based on performance Supportive structure with realistic expectations and flexibility A culture built around mentorship and sustainability, not burnout Compensation that reflects experience and impact, not just billable hours The Bottom Line This is an opportunity for an Audit Manager who wants to lead, influence, and grow , without sacrificing life outside the firm.
