Accounting firm experience Accounting standards Full Job Description Audit Manager, Non Profit Dallas, TX Lead high-impact assurance engagements for a growing top-tier accounting and advisory firm, where you'll have true autonomy, flexible hybrid work, and the opportunity to shape client relationships and develop emerging talent. Must-Haves CPA license (required) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's preferred) 5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive responsibility Prior experience leading or supervising assurance engagements , including planning, execution, and delivery Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS Strong communication, client management, and leadership skills What You'll Do You'll lead multiple assurance engagements from planning through completion , managing financial statement reviews, audits, and related deliverables for middle-market clients across diverse industries. This role gives you real autonomy to shape engagement strategy, manage teams, and build lasting client relationships. You'll oversee engagement strategy, risk assessment, staffing, and workflow coordination , ensuring your team operates efficiently and delivers exceptional quality. Your responsibilities include reviewing workpapers and deliverables to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance while researching and resolving complex accounting and reporting matters that require technical expertise. As the primary client contact , you'll serve as a trusted advisor, building long-term relationships that drive client satisfaction and retention. You'll monitor engagement budgets, billing, and project economics , balancing quality delivery with profitability targets. Your leadership extends beyond client work. You'll mentor and develop junior team members through coaching, feedback, and hands-on training, helping shape the next generation of audit professionals. You'll also collaborate cross-functionally with internal specialists and leadership teams , bringing the firm's full capabilities to client solutions. You'll play an active role in business development initiatives , contributing to proposals, networking efforts, and practice growth strategies that expand the firm's footprint in the Dallas market.
