- Public Accounting (Hybrid) A well-established, independently owned public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Manager to join its growing team in the Chicagoland area.

Manageable hours: ~40 hours outside busy season, ~55 hours during peak Key Responsibilities Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion
Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and deliverables
Review workpapers, financial statements, and related reports for accuracy and compliance
Supervise, mentor, and develop senior and staff-level team members
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships
Identify opportunities to expand services and add value to clients
Collaborate across teams and industry groups to deliver high-quality client outcomes
Participate in firm initiatives, process improvements, and special projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Active CPA license required
6+ years of public accounting experience
Prior experience at the Manager level preferred
Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards (GAAP)
Industry experience in areas such as real estate, construction, or middle-market businesses is a plus
Proven leadership, project management, and client service skills
