Minimum 1 year of public accounting audit experienceAudit SeniorPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior to support and execute audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including non-profit organizations and commercial entities. This role is ideal for a public accounting professional with at least one year of audit experience who is ready to take on increasing responsibility, work directly with clients, and grow within a collaborative firm environment. The Audit Senior will assist in planning and executing audits, preparing financial statements, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with professional standards.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the planning, execution, and completion of external audit engagements for non-profit and commercial clients.
Perform audit procedures including substantive testing and analytical reviews to validate financial statement balances and disclosures.
Assist with risk assessments and understanding clients business operations and internal controls.
Prepare clear and organized audit documentation and working papers in accordance with firm methodology and professional standards.
Draft financial statements and related disclosures under GAAP.Communicate audit progress, questions, and findings to senior team members and clients in a professional manner.
Identify potential control deficiencies and assist in the preparation of management comments and recommendations.
Support the supervision and training of audit associates and interns as needed.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
Stay current on applicable accounting and auditing standards, including GAAP and GAAS.QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of public accounting experience with a focus on external audit.
Exposure to non-profit and or commercial audits is a plus.
Working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.Experience preparing or assisting with financial statements and audit documentation.
Proficiency with audit software and accounting systems; strong Excel skills preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hybrid work environment.
