Job Description
Audit SeniorPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to lead client engagements, oversee audit teams, and deliver high-quality audit services that ensure compliance with regulatory standards and financial reporting requirements. The Audit Senior will plan and execute audits, identify and communicate risks and control weaknesses, mentor junior staff, and build strong client relationships to support firm growth and client satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Develop audit plans, perform risk assessments, and design audit procedures tailored to client needs and industry requirements.
Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants and seniors; review workpapers and audit documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Perform substantive testing, analytical reviews, and validate financial statement balances in accordance with auditing standards.
Evaluate clients internal controls and provide practical recommendations to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
Draft and review financial statements and management letters, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and industry developments to ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with clients, engagement partners, and stakeholders to resolve issues, present findings, and support business relationships.
Assist with proposal development, staffing, and resource planning for engagements as needed.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; graduate degree or advanced coursework is a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of public accounting audit experience, with demonstrated experience leading audit engagements.
Strong technical audit skills and working knowledge of auditing standards and procedures.
Nice to have: CPA certification (active or in progress) and strong understanding of GAAP.Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems and data analytics tools a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting findings to clients and senior management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and travel to client sites as required.
