We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our team!
Job Overview:
Senior Associates simultaneously conduct multiple engagements, maintaining secondary contact with clients. This level is the first-line direct supervisor of In-Charge Associates and Associates. A Senior Associate displays technical and communication skills, and judgement essential for developing staff and dealing with clients. CPE will be more focused on specific technical areas, and management training begins.
Job Responsibilities
Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates required
Reviews and prepares workpapers
Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Assists with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP)
May begin to specialize in one specific area of the Firm's practice
Supervises In-Charge Associates and Associates
May be responsible for several jobs at one time
Participates in proposals and other practice development/marketing activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's degree in Accounting preferred
4+ years of public accounting experience preferred
CPA designation preferred
Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite
ProSystems, Engagement or other related software experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Highly motivated
Willing to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals
