Position Overview:
The Audit Senior will be responsible for leading and performing audit engagements for clients in the public accounting industry. They will work closely with audit teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting regulations and standards. This role requires strong knowledge of public accounting practices and procedures, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform audit engagements from planning to completion for clients in the public accounting industry
Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations and standards
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and address any issues or concerns
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed
Identify and communicate any audit findings or recommendations to management and clients
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, as well as industry trends and best practices
Assist in the development and implementation of new audit policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and GAAS
Experience with Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) audits a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
