THE POSITION NOTE

The Bureau of Driver Licensing is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Officer 1, specifically for the role of CDL Field Auditor. This position involves a combination of fieldwork, where the selected candidate will be responsible for conducting both covert and overt audits of various CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners within a designated geographic area of the state. The role is crucial in ensuring compliance and maintaining the integrity of the testing process for commercial driver's licenses. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners within your designated geographic area by utilizing the CSTIMS application to identify trends and patterns, as well as conducting both covert and overt audit activities. Your duties will include meticulously tracking audit details for all CDL Third-Party Testers and their examiners in your assigned region, and subsequently reporting this information to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager. You will also conduct field audits to verify adherence to relevant testing laws and regulations, as well as compliance with contractual obligations. During these audits, you will address minor contractual issues directly with the tester or examiner and document these concerns in their respective files. More significant issues will be escalated to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager for further investigation. Additionally, you will prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports for each audit conducted, detailing any actions taken and providing recommendations for further actions as necessary. In response to customer complaints regarding CDL Third-Party testers and examiners within your area, you will investigate these issues and take appropriate action. Furthermore, you will hold administrative meetings with examiners and testers, compiling a report of your findings and recommendations to be submitted to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager for review and final decision-making. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must possess a Class A CDL with N and P endorsements, and with E, L, N, O and Z restrictions removed. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
