Cardiology Clinic Employment Type:
Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm •This is an In Office Position- Not Remote. •Position Overview As a Charge Entry Auditor you will: Work Encounter Control Form report and monitor open encounter analysis report (in EpicCare). Provide feedback to practice designee regarding identified trends in work queues and reports for clinic workflow improvement. Ensure lag days adhere to two (2) day turnaround from charge entry to claim transmission. Collect and monitor self-pay balances. Responsible for working Epic Work Queues including but not limited to Charge Review, Follow Up and Claim Edit. Assists in progress towards the wind down of Legacy A/R. Compare reference labs are charged correctly in Epic via lab bill and manual accession report, if applicable. Provide high quality customer service to Patients, Revenue Cycle Advocates, Providers, Clinic Managers.
Qualifications Education :
High School or GED, required.
Experience :
Previous working experience in medical business office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
CPC, preferred. Additional Skills/Requirements (required) : Must possess: excellent communication and organizational skills, sufficient knowledge of account inquiry and analysis to investigate and evaluate situations, supervisory skills for accepting responsibility, decision-making, directing, delegating, and supervising personnel, flexibility and adaptability to work in a constantly changing environment, good working knowledge of computer systems, excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Must have ability to:
operate all equipment, work efficiently and accurately, plan and organize work, work overtime hours as well as deal with continuous stress, and work effectively with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Knowledge of insurance and handling of claims (including medical necessity and pre-existing conditions). Maintains and demonstrates professional competency in the use of all computer systems and departmental equipment.
