Health, Dental, Vision while on temp; Full Benefits on Perm (Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, Holidays, 401K) Sanford rose is looking for a Fee Schedule Auditor for a multi-site healthcare services organization to support their managed care team. This role focuses on reviewing and maintaining contracted rate tables across government and commercial payers to ensure accurate reimbursement, compliance with payer agreements, and reduced leakage from underpayments/incorrect fee configuration. The work supports regulated outpatient clinical service lines.
Responsibilities:
Review, audit, and reconcile contracted rate tables against payer agreements, allowables, and internal charge/rate references for designated outpatient programs. Detect and document variances between billed amounts, contracted rates, and paid amounts across payer categories. Partner with internal stakeholders (coding, billing, contract administration) to correct rate configuration issues, prevent recurring errors, and recover missed reimbursement when appropriate. Maintain and update rate/fee schedule data to reflect annual regulatory updates and payer-specific revisions, including bundled payment structures where applicable. Build and deliver audit summaries, trend reporting, and recommendations to leadership. Support adherence to applicable federal/state rules and payer policy requirements related to reimbursement and billing standards.
Qualifications:
3-5 years in healthcare revenue cycle with experience in payer reimbursement, preferably within outpatient or behavioral/regulated clinical services. Hands-on exposure to one or more: claims review/editing, denial prevention, denial resolution, appeals, and/or coding quality review. Working knowledge of CPT/HCPCS and reimbursement logic (including payer-specific edits and bundled arrangements). Comfort investigating underpayments, coding/billing mismatches, and configuration problems in rate tables. Strong Excel/Sheets skills (Google Workspace or similar), with high attention to detail and strong analytic capability. Coding/billing/audit certification (AAPC/AHIMA or similar) preferred.
