This will include knowledge of coding definitions and how they should be represented in the records. The ideal candidate will be an avid learner with excellent research skills. In addition, this person will be able to communicate audit findings confidently to other medical and lay professionals both internal and external to Humana professionals. The Medical Coding Auditor in this situation must analyze information given, research to gain additional knowledge, and work the review in the proper systems as necessary. Responds to or clarifies internal requests for medical information. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, in often in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelinesprocedures. WORK STYLE

Remote, work at home. While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

WORK HOURS

Employees perform most work 5 days per week, 8 hours per day between 6AM-6PM in their home time zone. We do not expect nor require earlylate starts, weekends, evenings, or holidays. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $59,300
