The primary responsibility of this role is a thoughtful, comprehensive completion of QC Servicing audit reviews, involving the accurate evaluation of actions taken during loan servicing. Servicing reviews include evaluation of loan boarding, payment application, escrow analysis, communication, documentation and all actions related to both performing and non-performing loans, including review of loans in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and various stages of collection and loss mitigation, as well as selected paid off and/or transferred loans, as well as other mortgage servicing-related audits (AML, MERS, HMDA), Procedure review, or working with reporting may be a part of this role as needed. On the job training will be provided, but a background in hands-on loan servicing and/or QC auditing is required. Familiarity with various loan servicing systems and software will be beneficial.
Requirements:
Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and ability to comfortably navigate within various programs / sites Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Strong reading comprehension with ability to understand regulatory and various agency and internal guidelines / requirements Ability to write clearly and grammatically Ability to learn new programs and effectively switch between programs and clients throughout the work day (different clients have different systems as well as specific requirements or directives) Efficient and effective communication skills Ability to consistently meet quality and production requirements Able to comfortably work with both on-site and remote supervision and interactions including training
Helpful Background:
Background in various areas of Mortgage Servicing, especially in quality control or servicing Familiarity with any Mortgage Servicing systems, Imaging systems, use of VPNs, and/or remote desktop applications An understanding of Agency / Regulatory requirements related to Mortgage Servicing. Previous background in auditing or system reviews and related software
