Job Description

Job Title:
Sr Internal Auditor Job Description The Sr Internal Auditor is responsible for executing SOX 404 control testing and conducting internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP. This role supports the global internal audit function through walkthrough documentation, risk assessment, and audit execution. The position involves evaluating business processes, identifying risks, designing audit procedures, and delivering actionable audit findings. The Sr Internal Auditor will partner with management to improve control effectiveness and ensure the timely remediation of audit issues. Responsibilities Perform walkthroughs and document processes. Identify risks and design audit procedures. Execute audits end-to-end and write findings. Evaluate business processes and identify risks. Deliver actionable audit findings. Partner with management to improve control effectiveness. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with SOX 404 control testing. Strong understanding of SOX 404 and COSO framework. Proficiency in internal control design and testing. 4-5+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate audit. Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Additional Skills & Qualifications CPA or CIA certification strongly preferred. Experience with manufacturing environments, particularly inventory controls. Background in Big 4 or public accounting. Experience supporting SEC clients. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Work Environment The position is based in San Diego with a hybrid work environment, offering a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Candidates must be within approximately 75 miles of the office. The team consists of over 15 members, ranging from junior to senior levels, and operates in an open cubicle environment when onsite. Standard business hours are 8-5 with occasional overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
