Job Description

Description Position Summary The Quality Auditor is responsible for performing detailed product, process, and system audits to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards (ISO/IATF). This role requires hands-on experience with precision measurement equipment and the ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and quality documentation. The Quality Auditor plays a critical role in identifying nonconformances, supporting root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement within manufacturing and remanufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Perform quality audits:
In-process, final, and incoming inspections, On components and finished assemblies Use precision measurement equipment to verify dimensional, mechanical, and functional compliance, including: Calipers (digital and manual), Micrometers, Height gauges, Thread gauges, Torque measurement tools Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
/ IATF and internal quality standards Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, control plans, and work instructions Identify, document, and report nonconformances Support root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Track and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) Support customer and third-party audits as required Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and calibration logs Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve processes Requirements Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience 2-5 years of related experience in quality, inspection, or auditing within a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment Proven experience using precision measurement equipment Technical Skills Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque tools) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Working knowledge of quality systems and audit processes Familiarity with
ISO 9001
(IATF preferred) Basic understanding of: Statistical Process Control (SPC) Defect tracking Corrective action systems Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail Clear verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and on the manufacturing floor Professional handling of nonconformance situations Strong organizational and documentation skills Language Skills Proficiency in English required Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
