Job Description
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to gather, organize, and present oral and written information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner and write audit reports detailing conclusions drawn from audit testing and any related findings/recommendations. Ability to use personal computer and related Microsoft software is necessary to summarize results of testing and reviews. Applicant must have general working knowledge of principles and practices of accounting and auditing. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and auditees. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). Also, knowledge of construction and other infrastructure material costs and expenses, as well as subcontractor rates are helpful to aid in the review of invoices submitted. Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application will be required to bring a copy of college transcript to the interview. A copy of the transcript may also be uploaded as an attachment to the application, if required by the hiring department or if desired by the applicant. Please note that some areas of the Agency may require an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific timeframe required by that area, after hiring. Failure to produce an official, certified transcript may result in not being hired or termination. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree is preferred. Certifications such as a CPA, CIA, and/or CFE are preferred, but not required.
