Job Title:
QMS Lead Auditor Job Description The QMS Lead Auditor ensures that the Quality Management System is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with applicable standards such as ISO 9001, IATF, and VDA 6.3 and 6.5. This role requires overseeing the system's compliance and conducting internal audits to ensure quality and effectiveness. Responsibilities Maintain the written procedures, work instructions, and forms of the Quality Management System as assigned. Create an internal audit schedule and perform internal audits per Corporate directive. Present the systems status report monthly to Corporate. Ensure the written audit reports and updated internal audit schedule are approved by the Manager of QMS. Oversee the issuance of corrective actions and follow up on countermeasure implementation. Conduct follow-up special audits per Customer specific requirement updates and submit reports to Corporate. Advise and assist upper management with any concerns about the QMS. Evaluate the application of the Standards within the procedures, work instructions, and policies. Participate in all customer and third-party audits at the assigned facility. Participate in local Management review representing Corporate. Essential Skills Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF standards. Quality auditing skills, specifically in the automotive sector. 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, specifically in the administration of Internal Quality Management Systems. Effective computer operation skills with Windows, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processor programs. Basic typing skills. Completion or working towards completion of the IATF Lead Auditor Course. Additional Skills & Qualifications College Degree preferred or extensive job-specific experience in lieu of a degree. Customer specific training as required. Work Environment The role requires some travel for audits. The position operates primarily on the 1st shift but requires flexibility to overlap with all three shifts during audits only. There is flexibility to work one day from home per week between audits when focusing on Continuous Improvement and Documentation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
