  • G Job Duties The IT Auditor supports the Internal Audit Office of the Virginia Department of Health by assisting with IT risk assessments, developing audit plans, and performing IT and performance audits in alignment with IIA Standards.
The role conducts testing for policy, procedure, and cybersecurity compliance; prepares clear audit workpapers; and helps develop findings and recommendations. Additional responsibilities include follow‑up reviews, special projects, maintaining audit tracking systems, and contributing to presentations and annual audit planning. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge and ability to plan and conduct a variety of information security audits. Knowledge of IT operating and application systems, infrastructure, and networks. Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent audits, meet timeframes, and establish/maintain effective working relationships. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional Considerations CPA, CIA, CISA or other applicable professional certification. Knowledge and work experience in Commonwealth Information Security Standards and guidelines.
