COLLISION REPAIR ESTIMATOR

Don & Sons Body Shop is seeking a senior estimator to join our team in Ames. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who possesses automobile /insurance/estimating experience and wants to join a team of automotive repair professionals. If you currently are employed as a collision estimator in an independent or national shop, an insurance adjustor, or are computer savvy and have an automobile background and knowledge of cars, we would like to hear from you. Don & Sons Body Shop is a 3rdgeneration business that has continuously focused on improvement. Your input and suggestions help us move forward.

Responsibilities:

Create repair estimates for damaged vehicles using CCC management software. Build repair plans in accordance with specific repair procedures. Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos. Communicate with technicians on repair plan. Manage Part Orders. Monitor parts delivery. Communicate with insurance company to submit claims and supplements. Communicate with customer on repair timeline and scheduling. Close billing and delivery of vehicle. Provide input into operations of business operations for continual improvement of processes.

Requirements:

3+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience. Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements for Direct Repair Programs. Familiar with CCC management and estimating system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills I-CAR certification preferred. Customer service focused. Team oriented
