PRIMARY PURPOSE :
To inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS andRESPONSIBILITIES
+ Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization. + Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software. + Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field. + Prepares estimates using estimatics software. + Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.ADDITIONAL
FUNCTIONS andRESPONSIBILITIES
+ Performs other duties as assigned. + Travels as required. + Catastrophe Deployment & Ongoing Field Expectations Prior catastrophe (CAT) appraisal experience is a strong plus for this position. The role may require deployment in support of CAT operations, particularly during peak summer months. Deployments can involve extensive travel, extended work hours, and temporary relocation based on business needs. During non-CAT periods, colleagues are expected to consistently manage daily appraisal volume within their assigned home territory , demonstrating strong time management, autonomy, and adherence to productivity and quality standards. Candidates located in or near Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Denton, TX; Pittsburgh, PA; Oklahoma City, OK; Kansas City, MO; and Des Moines, IA are especially beneficial, as these markets support sustained daily claim volume and require the ability to effectively manage workloads when not deployed for CAT events.QUALIFICATIONS
