Competitive Pay Range:
$25.00 - $35.00 Urgently Hiring. Apply now for more information and to schedule an interview! At Atlantic Emergency Solutions, our Collision Estimator. This work supports fire trucks and emergency vehicles that first responders rely on every day. is responsible for assessing and estimating the repair costs for vehicles that have been damaged in collisions. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle construction, repair processes, and the ability to accurately estimate the cost of parts, labor, and materials required for repairs. The estimator collaborates closely with customers, insurance companies, and repair technicians to ensure that repairs are done efficiently, on time, and within budget. You get stable hours, a Monday through Friday schedule, and the opportunity to work in a professional shop environment focused on quality and safety. Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Overtime is available No rotating shifts Paid holidays (no waiting period) Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, start earning day 1 Tool Allowance & Boot Reimbursement Work Environment Hanover, MD Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed. Specialty work on fire trucks and ambulances Key Job Duties Inspect damaged vehicles to evaluate the extent of damage and determine the necessary repairs. Use tools such as measuring systems and visual inspection to ensure accurate assessment Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely repair estimates, including parts, labor, and materials. Ensure estimates are in line with industry standards and repair shop guidelines Communicate with customers to discuss the damage assessment and the required repairs. Explain estimates and repair processes in a clear and professional manner Work with insurance adjusters to confirm the scope of repairs and resolve any discrepancies in estimates. Provide supporting documentation for insurance claims Coordinate with parts suppliers to order necessary parts for repairs, ensuring availability and timely delivery Ensure that the repair process aligns with the estimate. Monitor repair progress and make any necessary adjustments to the initial estimate as work progresses Maintain accurate records of estimates, customer information, and repair details. Ensure all documentation complies with insurance requirements and company standards Inspect the completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and the vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition. Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns or issues promptly and professionally Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required Requirements What We're Looking For Strong understanding of parts terminology and descriptions Knowledge of basic parts pricing to ensure accurate quotes Knowledge of current labor rates to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex repair details in a clear and professional manner Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer expectations and address concerns Proficient in basic computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to accurately assess damage and estimate repair costs Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of tasks Ability to interpret written estimates from various estimation programs Ability to address issues as they arise, offering creative and cost-effective solutions Work Environment and Physical Demands This role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing. The position involves exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, odors, grease, and occasional outdoor conditions.
