Full Job Description Job Summary:
We can train! We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Car Repair Estimator to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting vehicle damage, creating accurate repair cost estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, and providing exceptional service to our clients throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and determine repair costs. Create accurate and detailed repair estimates using estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex). Collaborate with technicians, parts department, and insurance adjusters to ensure accurate and timely repairs. Communicate clearly with customers regarding damage assessment, repair timeline, and cost estimates. Document all findings and maintain proper records for each repair job. Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain approvals and handle supplemental damage claims. Monitor repair progress and ensure quality standards are met. Update customers regularly on repair status and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Assist with parts ordering and scheduling repair jobs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (ASE certification or relevant training a plus). 2+ years of experience in auto repair estimating or related field preferred. Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software. Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and parts. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of insurance procedures and claims handling preferred.
Working Conditions:
Primarily indoor work with some outdoor vehicle inspections. May require standing, walking, or bending for extended periods. Fast-paced environment with customer interaction.
